Finance Policy

It is important to understand your financial obligations when considering cosmetic surgery. At Dr. Lee’s office you will be made aware of all the costs associated with your surgery so there are no surprises. Our patient coordinator will work with you to answer questions about our fees and explore the payment options available, so you are always informed.

Initial Fees

Dr. Lee spends a considerable amount of time with every patient. Consultations are comprehensive, unhurried, and conducted by Dr. Lee. Our consultation fee is $300. At the time you call to schedule your consultation we ask that you provide a valid credit card. If you do not have a credit card, you may send a check as prepayment for your consultation to secure your appointment. Because we are holding that time for you, we ask that you notify us in advance if your plans change so we can reschedule. We will charge the full fee if you do not call 24 hours in advance to cancel your appointment.

Payment Schedule

Should you decide to schedule surgery with Dr. Lee there is a non-refundable deposit to hold your surgery date. This fee is 20% of the surgeon’s fee and will be applied to your total cost of surgery. Full payment for your procedure is due six weeks prior to your surgery date.

Payment Options

Our office accepts:

  • Check, Visa®, MasterCard®, American Express® or Discover Card®

Financing

Financing is available for either a portion of, or the total sum of your procedure. Our patient coordinator can help guide you through the quick and easy approval process. Please visit www.carecredit.com for more information.

Facility and Associated Fees

Dr. Lee provides for his patient’s comfort and safety by doing his procedures at the highly accredited facilities, University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center and Park Cities Surgery Center.

Your surgical fee will include:

  • Dr. Lee’s fee
  • Pre and post-op vitamins
  • Nutritional consultation
  • Initial surgical garments
  • Post-operative visits
  • Scar care regimen

Your surgical fee will not include:

  • Anesthesia and operating room charges, as these will be paid directly to the providers.
  • Lab tests, EKG, X-rays required for pre-operative clearance. These are sometimes covered by your insurance.
  • Prescriptions and second stage garments.
  • Anesthesia and operating room charges should you desire revisional procedures.

Insurance Coverage

We do not accept any insurance plans. Aesthetic procedures are generally not covered by insurance. We will be happy to discuss any exceptions at the time of your consultation. Should your procedure indicate a valid insurance claim, any pre-certification necessary will be your responsibility. Full payment for services is your responsibility and any reimbursement is between you and your carrier.

Rescheduling and Cancellations

In rare cases a situation may arise that could force you to cancel or postpone your surgery. Any change to a set surgery schedule impacts not only you, but the surgeon, his staff, the facility, the anesthesiologist and other patients.

If you cancel surgery, you will forfeit this deposit. The remaining balance is due 6 weeks prior to your surgery date. If you need to reschedule your surgery, the surgical fee must be paid in full. For each rescheduling of your surgery and rescheduling within 6 weeks of your surgery date, an additional 50% of the surgical fee will be assessed. If you cancel your surgery after rescheduling, the entire surgical fee paid will be forfeited.

Revisions and Complications

Dr. Lee has built a strong reputation for his skill and judgment and is confident in his ability to deliver exceptional outcomes. However, no one can guarantee a perfect result, particularly in the subjective realm of aesthetic surgery. Occasionally patients will experience a complication or request a revision.

If it becomes necessary to return a patient to surgery, either on an emergency basis or one that is elective, there will be a fee for surgical revisions to cover treatment delivered by the surgeon, the facility, and the anesthesiologist. These revisions or complications are normally not covered by your individual insurance policy.

We take all the necessary precautions to guard against complications or revisions, but when they present themselves, it is important for all patients to understand this financial policy.
