Financial Policies

It is important to understand your financial obligations when considering cosmetic surgery. At Dr. Lee’s office you will be made aware of all the costs associated with your surgery so there are no surprises. Our patient coordinator will work with you to answer questions about our fees and explore the payment options available, so you are always informed.

Initial Fees

Dr. Lee spends a considerable amount of time with every patient. Consultations are comprehensive, unhurried, and conducted by Dr. Lee. Our consultation fee varies per procedure. At the time you call to schedule your consultation we ask that you provide a valid credit card. If you do not have a credit card, you may send a check as prepayment of your consultation to secure your appointment. Because we are holding that time for you, we ask that you notify us in advance if your plans change so we can reschedule. We will have to charge the full fee if you do not call 24 hours in advance to cancel your appointment.

Payment Schedule:

Should you decide to schedule surgery with Dr. Lee there is a deposit to hold your surgery date. This fee is 20% of the surgeon’s fee and will be applied to your total cost of surgery. If you find it necessary to change your surgery date, we are happy to accommodate you provided you give us six weeks’ notice. A $250 rescheduling fee will be charged to cancel and reschedule your procedure. Full payment for cosmetic surgery is due three weeks prior to your surgery date.

Payment Options
The balance of all fees are payable three weeks prior to the surgical date. We accept the following forms of payment:
Personal Check or Cashier’s Check
American Express

Financing is available for either a portion of, or the total sum of your procedure. Our partner, CareCredit, provides several affordable plans so you don’t have to put your dreams on hold. Our patient coordinator can help guide you through the quick and easy approval process. Many of our patients apply online in the privacy of their homes even prior to their initial consultation. CareCredit provides excellent and confidential service. Please visit for more information.

Insurance Coverage
We do not accept any insurance plans. Aesthetic procedures are generally not covered by insurance. We will be happy to discuss any exceptions at the time of your consultation. Should your procedure indicate a valid insurance claim, we will help with any pre-certification necessary. Full payment for services is your responsibility and any reimbursement is between you and your carrier. We will do everything we can to assist you in collecting any benefit allowed by your policy.

Facility and Associated Fees
Dr. Lee provides for his patient’s comfort and safety by doing his procedures at highly accredited facilities including:

Park Cities Surgery Center
University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center

Your surgical fee will include:
Dr. Lee’s fee, initial surgical garments, and post-operative visits.

Your surgical fee will not include:
Anesthesia and operating room charges, as these will be paid directly to the providers. If financing is used, these charges will be satisfied through the finance company.
Lab tests, EKG, X-rays required for pre-operative clearance. These are sometimes covered by your insurance.
Prescriptions and second stage garments.
Anesthesia and operating room charges should you desire revisional procedures.

In rare cases a situation may arise that could force you to cancel or postpone your surgery. Any changes to a set surgery schedule impacts not only you, but the surgeon, his staff, the facility, the anesthesiologist and other patients.
A deposit is required to schedule surgery. If you need to reschedule your surgical date, a $250 reschedule fee will be charged. Should you cancel more than six weeks prior to surgery, a $500 cancellation fee will be charged. Should you cancel less than six weeks prior to your surgery, the entire deposit is non-refundable.

Revisions and Complications:

Dr. Lee has built a strong reputation for his skill and judgment and is confident in his ability to deliver exceptional outcomes. However, no one can guarantee a perfect result, particularly in the subjective realm of aesthetic surgery. Occasionally patients will experience a complication or request a revision.

If it becomes necessary to return a patient to surgery, either on an emergency basis or one that is elective, there will be a fee for surgical revisions to cover treatment delivered by the surgeon, the facility and the anesthesiologist. These revisions or complications are normally not covered by your individual insurance policy.
We take all the necessary precautions to guard against complications or revisions, but when they present themselves, it is important for all patients to understand this financial policy.
